The Girls Circle Association model, a structured support group for girls from 9-18 years, integrates relational theory, resiliency practices, and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence in girls. It aims to counteract social and interpersonal forces that impede girls’ growth and development by promoting an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and use authentic voices. Girls Circles are research-based and have demonstrated positive impacts on girls’ resilience, esteem, self-efficacy, and relationships with adults and peers.

The Anderson Teen Center was established in 2001 to support the youth in the City of Anderson and outlying areas. The teen centers mission is to create a safe and productive environment for youth. The teen center engages  youth in asset building activities that contribute toward their growth into responsible and caring members of our community. The teen center has had many success stories of youth who have passed through its doors over the years.

The Anderson Teen Center provides a second home to many youth in our community, offering leadership, recreation, artistic, and educational programs and activities. The Anderson Teen Center Advisory Board works in partnership with teen center staff and the Anderson Partnership for Healthy Children Collaborative, to help support the Anderson Teen Center through its advisory, fundraising, and promotional efforts.
