April Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
Garden Of Hope
On Wednesday, April 1st, 2015, Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council joined thousands of communities throughout California and the nation in recognizing Child Abuse Prevention Month with Community Pinwheel Gardens. The Pinwheel is the symbol of child abuse prevention, representing community efforts to provide children with the safe, stable, nurturing relationships they need for healthy development. County and City Representatives, along with community stakeholders plant community Garden of Hope pinwheel gardens in Redding, Shasta Lake City and Anderson.
Members of the Redding Community were invited to help plant a pinwheel garden in front of Redding City Hall on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at 10 am. Helping us plant the gardens were representatives from both our state and local government offices as well as local community leaders.
City of Shasta Lakeplanted their community garden on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at 11:30 am
The Anderson Community planted a Garden of Hope in front of Anderson City Hall on Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at 2 pm, with local government officials and community leaders.
